A Night of Feasting

Three nights ago I went to the Night market at Shilin. This is the first trip out with my cell group. They wanted to share with me the delights of Taiwan's delicacies.

This is the second time I have gone to this famous night market. The guy on the left, the one with spectacles was an expertand he planned the whole itinery for us that night.

It started with charcoaled fried chicken chop, supposedly the best in Taiwan

We then moved on to salted chicken, which tasted a little like the hainanese chicken we get in Tung Palace, Leeds. After that, it was into the crowd again...

en route to the next destination....

Which was milk ice, which I thought would taste like ice kachang but turned out to be really soft and melting...a real delight with the strawberries.

It was then onto more food, this time the hardcore stuff which everyone else ate with great gusto, like stinky toufu...

and duck blood, yes! Duck!!

And the typical egg omelette with oysters!

A night of feasitng with my cell members...
